The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) provides a process for copyright owners to request removal of content they believe infringes their copyright. FreeFire India complies with the DMCA and will respond to valid takedown notices in a timely manner.
We take copyright claims seriously and will review all valid notices. Abuse of the DMCA process (e.g., filing false claims) may result in legal liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
To submit a DMCA takedown notice, please send a written notice to our designated DMCA agent via email:
DMCA Email: [email protected]
Please use the subject line: "DMCA Takedown Notice — [Your Name / Company]"
We will acknowledge your notice within 48 hours and take appropriate action, which may include removing or disabling access to the allegedly infringing material.
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), a valid DMCA takedown notice must include all of the following:
- Your full legal name and contact information (email, phone, address)
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- The exact URL(s) on freefireindia.online where the allegedly infringing content appears
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
- Your physical or electronic signature
Notices missing any of the above elements may not be processed. Incomplete notices will be returned for clarification.
If you believe your content was removed due to a mistaken or misidentified DMCA claim, you may submit a counter-notice. Counter-notices must include:
- Your full name and contact information
- Identification of the specific material that was removed and its location before removal
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed due to mistake or misidentification
- Your consent to jurisdiction of Federal District Court in your district, and agreement to accept service of process from the claimant
- Your physical or electronic signature
Upon receiving a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original claimant. If they do not file a court action within 10-14 business days, the material may be reinstated.
In accordance with the DMCA, FreeFire India maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, users or contributors who are deemed to be repeat infringers of others' copyrights.
We track all DMCA notices received and will take appropriate action against accounts or contributors with multiple valid infringement claims against them.
Some content on FreeFire India may qualify as fair use under 17 U.S.C. § 107. Factors considered in fair use include the purpose of the use (commentary, criticism, news reporting, education), the nature of the copyrighted work, the amount used, and the effect on the market for the original work.
Game screenshots, logos, and character images used for news reporting and commentary about Free Fire may fall under fair use. However, we will review all claims individually and act in good faith.
